Amazon is also taking up to $50 off the new M5 Max Mac Studio and M6 Mac mini, plus $19 off the Apple Watch Ultra 4, bringing it to $779.99. The Mac mini, Mac Studio, and Apple Watch Ultra 4 all shipped last month, so these are the first cash discounts on any of them. The cuts landed days ahead of Prime Big Deal Days, Amazon's October 6-7 sales event.\n\nApple hardware rarely drops in price this soon after launch - retailers usually wait for a holiday or a successor product before touching the sticker. Discounting month-old computers and a watch before the headline sale even opens suggests Amazon wants carts filled early, not just traffic spiking on day one.\n\nThe 80 percent cut on cushion kits dwarfs anything on the computers, a reminder that accessory margins give retailers far more room to play than freshly launched silicon does. Prime Big Deal Days starts tomorrow; whether the bigger-ticket items get cut any further is the real test.","[\"apple\",\"amazon\",\"prime-day\",\"deals\"]","2026-10-02T16:05:03.000Z","2026-10-05T08:04:23.431Z","2026-10-05T08:04:28.402Z","published",null,[24,30,35],{"id":25,"reviewer":26,"round":27,"reason":28,"status":29},"editor-r1","editor",1,"Fix the date claim: the piece says these deals land 'four days before' Prime Big Deal Days starts on October 6, but that figure isn't in the source and doesn't reconcile with the current date — recalculate or cut the specific day-count.","resolved",{"id":31,"reviewer":32,"round":33,"reason":34,"status":29},"publisher-r2","publisher",2,"The Apple Watch Ultra 4 price math is inconsistent — $799 minus the stated $19 cut equals $780.00, not the $779.99 figure given.",{"id":36,"reviewer":26,"round":37,"reason":38,"status":29},"editor-r3",3,"Prime Big Deal Days starts October 6, which is tomorrow (a Tuesday) relative to today's date — the closing line's reference to 'Monday' is unsupported by the source and factually wrong, so fix or cut that day reference.","deals",[41,42,43,39],"apple","amazon","prime-day",[45],{"name":46,"url":47},"MacRumors","https:\u002F\u002Fwww.macrumors.com\u002F2026\u002F10\u002F02\u002Fbest-apple-deals-of-the-week-10-2-26\u002F",0,{"sections":50},[51,56,61,66,70,75,80,85,90,95,100,105,110,115],{"name":52,"slug":53,"count":54,"latest_published_at":55},"AI","ai",6062,"2026-10-04T13:30:00.000Z",{"name":57,"slug":58,"count":59,"latest_published_at":60},"Security","security",852,"2026-10-04T12:55:00.000Z",{"name":62,"slug":63,"count":64,"latest_published_at":65},"Policy","policy",441,"2026-10-02T14:53:41.000Z",{"name":67,"slug":39,"count":68,"latest_published_at":69},"Deals",321,"2026-10-04T13:00:00.000Z",{"name":71,"slug":72,"count":73,"latest_published_at":74},"Hardware","hardware",203,"2026-10-03T14:50:50.000Z",{"name":76,"slug":77,"count":78,"latest_published_at":79},"Science","science",176,"2026-10-02T04:00:00.000Z",{"name":81,"slug":82,"count":83,"latest_published_at":84},"Consumer Tech","consumer-tech",156,"2026-10-02T15:20:39.000Z",{"name":86,"slug":87,"count":88,"latest_published_at":89},"Dev Tools","dev-tools",96,"2026-10-01T16:57:03.000Z",{"name":91,"slug":92,"count":93,"latest_published_at":94},"Software","software",93,"2026-09-30T21:41:11.000Z",{"name":96,"slug":97,"count":98,"latest_published_at":99},"Startups","startups",90,"2026-10-01T21:55:22.000Z",{"name":101,"slug":102,"count":103,"latest_published_at":104},"Gaming","gaming",53,"2026-10-02T02:50:39.000Z",{"name":106,"slug":107,"count":108,"latest_published_at":109},"General","general",50,"2026-09-30T21:37:54.000Z",{"name":111,"slug":112,"count":113,"latest_published_at":114},"Reviews","reviews",32,"2026-10-02T18:00:00.000Z",{"name":116,"slug":117,"count":118,"latest_published_at":119},"How-To","how-to",7,"2026-10-01T09:00:00.000Z"]
