Alexa now offers advance alerts for Prime Day discounts on items you’ve saved.
Amazon has added a toggle in the Alexa app that watches your Wish List, Saved for Later list or Cart. When a deal is scheduled, Alexa pushes a notification to your Echo device up to a day before the price drops. You can also ask Alexa to remind you at the moment the sale starts or to purchase the item automatically, using your default payment method and address.
The feature saves shoppers from scrolling through endless deal pages and missing early discounts. It also turns the Echo into a hands‑free shopping assistant, which could tighten the link between voice hardware and Amazon’s retail ecosystem. For Prime members who already keep their wishlists on Amazon, the alert is a low‑effort way to capture price cuts.
If you’re already using an Echo, the extra step of flipping a switch in the Alexa settings may be worth the convenience – or at least an excuse to test the new voice‑buy flow.
